Who wants you to learn the very basics of Russian: how to say and write Russian words, and how they work together. You will learn how to read in Russian and how to speak it better, too. To learn the rest of the Russian language, you need to start with this course first. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak any Russian at all or if you can speak, but you think your pronunciation isn’t very good. You can take this course!
The course is broken up into two parts:
- Theories: This is where you learn how the letters and sounds are pronounced and what letters are used for which sounds. In this part, I compare the sounds of Russian and English and explain what makes them different.
- Practice, where we do exercises where we have to do them again and again. The goal of this section is to put what we’ve learned in the theory section to the test. People who take the course will need to do the exercises on a daily basis until they can say the practice words quickly and there isn’t much difference between their pronunciation and mine.
I will be able to listen to your audio recordings of you reading the words in the practice videos while you are taking the course and after you finish it. You can send them to me. That way, you can get feedback on how accurate and understandable your Russian pronunciation is, which will help you improve your skills.
